'Principle Instrumentation Engineer'

A Major Engineering Contractor requires a 2 Principle Instrumentation Engineer's and 2 Technical Specialist's to join them on a permanent basis in Sharjah, UAE.

Demonstrates overall technical supervision and administrative oversight of personnel including engineers, designers (if relevant) and technical specialists. Coordinates to achieve productive relationship with the offshore engineering centres within the organisation (globally). Provides necessary guidance on manpower planning and takes responsibility for recruitment and performance management of his/her team. Provides technical expertise and support during various phases of the project design (if relevant) and execution. Demonstrates experience and expertise with various engineering deliverables and procurement engineering and is aware of commercial, contractual and administrative aspects of the department’s scope of work. Assists in the planning and management of departmental/team objectives, budgets and resource requirements. Promotes innovation, departmental improvement and team working for continuous improvement of knowledge base, cost-consciousness, and Quality and Safety Procedures. Ensures and facilitates an awareness of HSSE in all design and activities across the discipline. Promotes Quality Control throughout their team ensuring that their team works within the Quality Management System and participates in regular quality audits. Analyses exposure to risk and quantifies potential for losses, applying logical solutions for managing the risks taken through composition and implementation of contingency plans. Familiar with Microsoft Office applications as required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Suitable candidates will have a 4-yr Bachelors Degree in Instrumentation (or Electrical) Engineering Minimum of 18 years of related petrochemical experience preferable from a background in working for consultancy organisations in the EPC or the Oil and Gas Industry Professional Engineer registration may be required. Delivers results through personal contribution and team, and uses personal power to motivate, guide and influence self and others.

Personnel for the positions should be from leading EPC's only.
