"Lead Cost Engineer - Oil & Gas"

Role Definition:
This role is responsible for tracking the current level of commitments, actuals and value of work done and proactively providing project management with accurate, timely and rigorous estimates and reports of Forecasted Final Costs (FFC). The role with be based in South Korea reporting into the current Site Cost Engineer. This role will suit a person with previous experience of FPSO construction yards and unit rate contracts. The appropriate person should have a Quantity Surveying background.

Plans & Procedures:
Assist in developing the project cost control procedures based on standard Cost Engineering Procedure and reflecting both Operator, and contractor roles and responsibilities.

Adhere to the segment financial and business and project processes.

Cost Control:
Prepare and implement project wide Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) /Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) based on the standard WBS.

Ensure the preparation and development of appropriate control budgets from the Project estimate.

Prepare cost data for their assigned Delivery Team including but not limited to budgets, commitments, Value Of Work Done (VOWD), forecasting, capex time-phasing (capex management), reporting and analysis.

Develop and maintain progress including consolidation of calculations and analysis of contractor and vendor monthly inputs.

Ensure correct coding of all requisitions, purchase orders, contracts, invoices, estimates, and ensuring these are updated and maintained

Prepare cash flow forecasts and partner cash calls.

Provide cost input to commitment close-out process.



Requirements:

Candidates are required to have 10+ years Cost Control Experience in fabrication of Offshore Oil and Gas projects. Direct Client exposure is preferred. Full expatriate conditions of offer.
