Corrosion Specialist
(Kuala Lumpur)

Responsibilities:

• Develop of Corrosion Engineering Strategies & Procedures for all facilities in compliance with recognised industry standards.
• Prepare maintenance programs including input into shutdown campaigns for corrosion engineering systems in order to ensure technical integrity, safe and reliable operation and maximum availibility.
• Maintain equipment histories and technical information for all corrosion engineering work activities.
• Review the quality of corrosion engineering maintenance activities such that preventive maintenance, inspections and corrective maintenance job routines are executed in accordance with the agreed work management plans whilst effectively controlling cost of maintenance.
• Asisst inspectors in the development of corrosion control manuals for the units and to review their contents and applicablilty.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical), Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Petroleum/Oil/Gas), Engineering (Metallurgy) or equivalent.
• 10 years of working experience in corrosion engineering and surveillance in Oil & Gas industry is required for this position.
• Good understanding of safety and environmental requirements and risk assessment.
• Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and SAP system experience is an added advantage.
• Good adaptability to a multinational environment.
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with.
• Strong communication, leadership, and judgment skills.
