Lead Civil/Structural Engineer

A major Owner, one of the country's largest oil and natural gas E&P companies, currently has an active and urgent need for a tenured Lead Civil / Structural Engineer to join their team in Calgary, Alberta on a full time, salaried basis.

Roles and responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to the following:
- Supervise a small group of staff and contract engineers tasked with coordinating detailed design activities of the main design contractor in order to deliver successful design package on time and within budget.
- Provide technical support during the fabrication and construction project phases.
- Progress reporting against budget, schedule and KPI's.
- Manage interfaces between main contractor group and Owner engineering, operations, and construction groups.
- Scope of work includes earthworks, drainage systems, roads & bridges, pile and concrete foundations, pipe rack structures, facilities modules, flare structures and buildings for a large development project.

To qualify for this role, you must possess the following skills/experience:
- Minimum 15 years experience in civil engineering with at least 5 years working in a lead capacity.
- Technical content experience of civil earthworks and structural design of land-based oil field projects.
- Experience working on large oil sands projects in Alberta.
- Bachelor of Science degree - Civil Engineering.
- Registered with APEGGA as P.Eng or equivalent.
- Proven leadership abilities.
- Impeccable written and verbal communication skills.
