"Planning Engineers in Brunei"

SKSWood is the leading oil & gas contractor in Brunei Darussalam. Having recently secured another contract extension, it is seeking right candidates for PLANNING ENGINEER to expand the office.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
* Ensure the timely development of campaign planning packages (bar chart, manning histogram, S-Curves) in order to meet client's cut-off date requirements via effective work supervision and assignment to the planners. Proactive discussions with Engineering, Operations and client are required.
* Ensure that the pertinent data in mPower modules are created, assigned and updated accurately and in a timely manner – both for planning and time-writing purposes. This includes periodical update of mPower in accordance with the reported progress from the workstations.
* Ensure that the campaign activities execution progress is monitored via proper reporting. This includes critical path monitoring, completion date forecasting, plan revisions, re-setting schedule baselines, and preparation of periodical progress, forecast and man-hour reports.
* Attend meetings with client - daily meeting, campaign meetings, ORS meetings, campaign workshops, After Action Reviews (AAR), Implementation Project on Paper (IPOP), etc.
* Liaise with client on all planning and scheduling aspects of the offshore works. This includes provision of data, statistics, reports etc extracted from mPower, P3 or other sources.
* Ensure that records are maintained during the planning and execution phases of campaign works. To be documented in chronological order with particular attention to major variances and deviations to the plan, via weekly departmental reports and culminating in comprehensive close out reports. A register of campaign plans shall be maintained.
* Ensure that planning parameters are accurately and constantly measured and inputted into the planning system, resulting in more realistic planning assumptions for subsequent campaigns.
* Assist in the development, implementation and update of the Campaign Development Plan (CDP) derived from client's Rolling Activity Plan (RAP).
* Provide technical advice and support on planning and scheduling requirements to the management team to enable the necessary resources to be allocated to execute the works.
* Assist in the training and development of Bruneian personnel in line with the contract targets and company’s training plans.
* Ensure that departmental procedures and proformas are kept up to date and implemented. This includes proper filing of quality records and documents.
* Prepare KPI & other data for campaign close-out reports.
* Any other duties as directed by the Management.

REQUIREMENT:
* Degree or equivalent in the engineering discipline
* Fluent in English (spoken & written)
* A minimum of 3 years experience as Planning Engineer on oil & gas related maintenance and construction projects preferably involving offshore installations
* Proficient with Primavera Project Planner (rev. 3.1)
* Proficient with Microsoft Office especially MS Excel
* Experience with mPower would be an advantage
* Ability to work long hours if required (including weekend)
* Physical capacity to work offshore, monitoring and updating progress during campaign execution
