This is a Singapore based position.
Responsibilities:
Provide engineering and design guidance to meet or exceed required design parameters.
Drive R&D activities.
Lead and develop a team of Design Engineers and Draftsman in design calculations
Answer all fabrication related design questions.
Coordinate application and closure of Class related design approvals.
Proactively seek cost reduction through innovative design ideas.
Ensure Bills of Material are accurately prepared.
Develop written procedures.
Attend offsite meetings to support technical and commercial discussions..
Requirements Essential (Red):
Mechanical or Structural Engineering Degree.
Min 6 years experience in a supervisory role with a Design & Engineering Team.
Min 3 years experience in R & D function within marine/offshore/oil & gas environment.
Proficient in the use of Autodesk Inventor.
Worked within the Diving / ROV Industry in a Design function.
Knowledge of ABS Rules for Underwater Vessels.
Familiarity with ASME, U Stamp and PVHO codes.
