Responsibilities:
Responsible for monitoring the EPC Contractor's construction activities particularly in the areas of loop and functional testing of Instrument Systems and Equipment.
Within these areas of responsibility he will be required:
- To promote and comply with the Project Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures and encourage compliance by others.
- To co-ordinate and provide engineering expertise to ensure that the plant is designed and will function in accordance with the Project Integrated Basis of Design.
- To monitor the EPC Contractor in the execution of his responsibilities under the EPC Contract.
- To ensure that interfaces with other parts of the Project and all Project stakeholders are adequately managed and properly engineered.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Professionally-qualified Engineer with qualifications in the Process, Electrical or Electronic Engineering disciplines
- At least 10 - 15 years Instrument and Control experience, including significant relevant experience on large multi-national and multi-location projects.
Significant experience in the following areas is required:
- Process control and measurements
- Foundation Fieldbus specification, design and operation
- HART communication
- Instrument and Control System testing, installation and commissioning.
The position requires an ability to liaise effectively at all organizational levels and to represent the Project on Instrument related matters.
The incumbent shall also:
- Be able to cope in a positive and productive manner within a high-pressure environment as expected in a large Project with an aggressive schedule.
- Have knowledge and experience in personal computing skills, including MS Outlook and Microsoft's Windows Office suite of applications.
- Be able to work well as a member of a large international multi-ethnic Project Team.
